I just recorded the episode from Knitty Gritty on the DIY channel for the Combo Corset top. I have to say, this is one of the most lovely and feminine things I've seen in a while . . that seems not too difficult to do. You really have to try to catch the episode though (and try to record it for future reference) in order to see the artist, Annie Modesitt, do her "combination knitting" techniques. These techniques are helpful in order to achieve the style of this item and have it end up looking like the resultant picture. Annie Modesitt's website is truly a wealth of knowledge and just so instructional on how to do this sort of knitting -- if you are unable to catch this episode or can't record, please use her website for reference. I plan on trying to learn more about her and get some of her books and patterns!
What I really like about Knitty Gritty (link found in left sidebar) is how they have knitters sitting there during the show actually knitting the pieces they're featuring . . and then getting feedback during the show on how they think the project is working, how they like the yarn choices they've made, and if they've got any questions. That's a nice twist that you don't normally see on crafting shows.
