my first sock

I've completed my Socks' class at my yarn shop and . . . . isn't this little guy just so cute??

This was just for practice to learn how to turn a heel and work the gusset. Now I think I'm ready to start my first real person's sock. I'm just so excited!!

I never did make it to the sewing expo. I was going to go but then found out that the class I wanted was full. I was kinda upset for a little while, but then decided to just order Annie Modesitt's book and learn from that.

I've begun the Ribs & Ruffles Scarf for John's mom. I really have no surprises here since this will be my third one. I really liked how the lavender one turned out before, so I'm repeating my technique of knitting a bit looser. The first end ruffles have turned out wonderful! I'm really thinking she's going to like this.

Last night I made one of the most awesome dinners for John and I. I had a jar of Bertolli's Vodka Sauce and wondered just what the heck to do with it. Gotta love the internet cuz right there on the front label it said, "For recipes just visit www.bertolli.com." Off I went and found a recipe for Farfalle with Artichoke Vodka Sauce. I can't say enough about this dish . . . it was SO delicious! I added some rotisserie chicken we had left from the other evening and it turned out so well. I highly recommend this one. Next time I might try adding some pine nuts (which we both love) and maybe some crab meat.
