I just came across the website for the Original Sewing & Quilt Expo and . . . joy of joys . . . they will be here in Tampa next week!! Not only is that just so exciting, but Annie Modesitt (who I mentioned in my entry on the 16th) will be there teaching her combination knitting techniques on Thursday, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. I'm going to try to call tomorrow and see if they'll still let me register for the class . . . even though online and call-in registration is closed . . . I'm going to beg and cry and hope! If I can't get into the class, I'm still going to go on Thursday.
I had to rip back my sock I started the other day. *sigh* I was knitting it on size 5 (3.5mm) needles using Cascade Fixation #5104. It was coming out way to large. I will have to switch to at least 4s . . maybe 3s. Oh well. I'm glad I realized that now instead of getting all the way down the toe and having to rip it back then.
