Sock #2 Start!

Thank you so much to everyone for your supportive and helpful hints for my socks and the pooling that I was experiencing my first time out. Since my last post, I've come to see how colors and how they arrange themselves are so random and can be beautiful in any pattern they take on.

I've completed the first sock from Cookie A.'s pattern - Twinkle Toes (please see previous posts for links to pattern). Started on the toe for the second sock a few days ago . . but something went completely wrong and I had to just pull it all out. Thank goodness I wasn't too far in. So, here's the second try . . and I'm overjoyed this time!! As you can see the second toe is starting to pull the blue and turquoise colors to the top . . . just like the first sock. While I have let go of the notion that both socks have to look exactly the same . . I am happy that there will at least be some similarity to these.

In other news, I've received my Lucy Neatby videos - Sock Techniques 1, Sock Techniques 2, Knitting Gems 1, and Knitting Gems 4. I now have enough knitting videos to keep me occupied for about 6 months!!

I'm also anxiously awaiting the next installment of Socks That Rock. I peeked yesterday and I love the new yarn!! I can't wait to see it in person. Not too crazy about the pattern though. I guess I'll have to see what pops into my head for this particular one.

I have some job interviews lined up from tomorrow through Monday. Cross your fingers for me! :)

Have a great rest of your week!!

Hi chickadee! Are you feeling any better? I've been wondering how you're doing.

Hi mama! How did the job interviews go? Your sock(s) look great!

xo

Yay! I'm glad you are liking the pooling! :)
They look great! I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Your socks look great!! Can't wait to see them finished.

Good luck on your interviews!

Now, you know my feelings on pooling, that I really don't care, and socks that don't match exactly are perfectly fine for me. Having said that, did you ever see a picture of my first sock club socks from last year?

Heh. Clearly, letting go is the solution. ;)

Looks like the second time's the charm! Good luck with the interviews...I have a funny feeling that your knitting time will soon be cut back...unless of course you take projects to work!
