Well, it's finally here . . . tomorrow is the first day of my new job. :D Actually and technically - tomorrow and Tuesday are "orientation" days . . with Wednesday being my first day at my desk - but I'm still counting tomorrow.
John and I had a lot of fun at the Players' Tournament at Sawgrass on Friday. As we were driving up towards the Jacksonville area, the smoke from the wildfires was horrible. I was seriously starting to question whether or not I could handle a full day of walking around watching golf in that smoke and haze. However, as we got closer to Ponte Vedra Beach the sky cleared and it was the most beautiful day; perfect golf weather! We were happy it cleared up. The absolute BEST part of the day was at the 8th hole. We sat in the shade in a spot right next to the tee and waited for my hero. About an hour and a half later, he walked up. All I can say is: Tiger Woods is more beautiful in person than I ever expected. He's absolutely gorgeous!!! It was worth the wait. I was about 10 feet from him and I never took my eyes off him. What an amazing and gracious person he is -- someone to truly admire. After we watched him start at 8, we walked to the end and watched him putt it in. Then we made our way to concessions and had some grub . . . only to make it halfway when I realized that my Keds were rubbing my skin raw on my left foot. OUCH! I put a band aid on and we just went and sat at the 17th hole. What a trip! People all around us were hedging bets on each player -- whether they got it on the green or in the water. The 17th hole at Sawgrass is one of the most difficult because the player has to shoot it from the tee over the water onto a green that's a little island. I couldn't believe the hole! I'm sure I could never make that one. *lol*
Today I did a recording again for Sage over at Quirky Nomads. Keep an eye out for my guest spot. I'll be one half of a conversation and I played "Gwen."
Unfortunately, I don't have anything knitting to post about. :\ For some odd reason I've not knit a single stitch in about 3 weeks. It definitely started when I got sick . . and I just haven't gotten my groove back. Today I did notice it though . . . so I'm thinking within the next couple of days I'm definitely going to be back on.
Other than that, not much else to report. It's getting kind of late and I think I'd better be off to bed so I'm all fresh and rested for . . . MY FIRST DAY!!!! Wooohoooo!!! [Mom - I wish you were here to see me off . . I'll make sure to wear my little sign with my name and bus number. :)]

Since we talk all the time, not much I can add here except that I KNOW you will do well at your new duties. I remember a little, blonde, pony tailed girl in a red/white checked shorts outfit with matching red/white checked sneakers boarding the school bus for the first time.......
