I had a little bit of a panic session the other day when I realized just how quickly July is approaching . . and my Sockapalooza socks MUST be completed and in the mail by the end of that month. My only hold-up so far is that I've been flip-flopping on just which particular yarn to use. I have settled on the pattern: I'm doing the Lacy Summer Socks from Knitting Lingerie Style. So, after some swatching and trying to figure out what's best and what fits the specs set out by my assigned pal . . . I finally went back to my original choice of fiber. I am using Fleece Artist Sea Wool in Parrot.
Here's some pics of my progress so far, started at approximately 10:30 pm last night:
I'm so in love with this pattern . . . I'm definitely knitting a pair right away for myself after these are done. Then I'm hoping that if my own Sockapalooza Pal likes them too, maybe she'd let me do a pair for her in her chosen yarn. ;D

The socks look really cool...almost like a sandal itself but here in Miami I'm barefoot or in sport/work out sneaker which won't do the socks justice! I could use them in Buffalo though!

Wow! Your sock pal is *very* lucky! Fleece artist sea wool and a very nice pattern!? I wonder if we could be each other's sock pal's? ;)
