fore!!

Just a quick update before John and I head out to dinner . .

Here's what I've been working on lately:

They're golf club covers!! John has been begging me for quite a while to get started on these and . . I made myself promise that I would finish with the Sockapalooza 4 thing before diving into doing some of these. I'm currently working on a third one to replace the largest one you see here (it's just a bit too loose and I've altered the pattern a couple of ribs to tighten it up a bit) in a dark green. All three will be done using Cascade 220 The Heathers. I'll take a pic of the darker one when I'm done.

I've almost finished my SiL's purse . . . the one I started for last Christmas present. Yeah . . it's been almost a year. *groan* It was one of those things I started and didn't plan out too well, then just got sidetracked with a ton of other things. But I've finished the body and felted it . . now I'm just working on the straps. I have asked Lana de Flor from etsy to be so kind as to felt me something special for the side of it. I really don't want to say right now because the SiL may be watching! But when I get ready to send it off, I'll make sure to take pics to post after she's received it. I get so anxious hoping that people end up liking what I make for them . . I'm already getting nervous.

John is leaving for NC for vacation with the family and I'm planning on starting a pair of socks for him using Regia in a color by Kaffe Fasset. Just a simple rib pattern . . should go quick.

Okay, well . . I gotta run. I hope everyone's having a nice evening!! *wave*

What a wonderful and thoughtful gift for a golfer! It's a lovely pattern and the pompom just finishes it off.

Cool and funny!
My father used to play golf when we were leaving in Pennsylvania, years ago. In France, it's too expensive!

I love these! They make the golf clubs seem so happy (I don't know why they just do). Now I want to learn to play golf.

Those are too cool! Good job!

Love those!
I made my husband some YEARS ago out of some sort of acrylic......they were not nearly as awesome as yours!

OMG - those are great. My John also plays golf, and would love for me to make those. I always run out of ideas of things to knit for him. What pattern are you using?
