« Sockapalooza 4 socks . . done! | Main | here they are!! »

so much stuff, so little time!!

Wow, a late night post from me!! It's 1:54am US EST and I can't sleep. John is away in Jacksonville for work and I just can't seem to get comfortable. It's so weird how you get used to someone being there and then when they're not, it completely disrupts things.

I got my socks from my Sockapalooza 4 Pal!! Yes, yes, I will be posting a pic of them, however, I am waiting to hear back from her first before I make my post. I wanted to at least do that for her before I show them off. Look at me all Ms. Respectful and stuff. *lol* Anyways, I can gush for now . . can't I? She knit me the most beautiful socks I've ever seen. I am so unbelievably lucky!! There's no way she could have done better . . the color, the yarn, the pattern . . it's all so perfect. She hit "me" right on that proverbial nail head, that's for sure! So, I'm tossing this all out there to whet everyone's appetite and build the anticipation. Pictures will be up soon!!

I've been invited to Ravelry this past week. If you're already a member, feel free to add me as a friend . . . ablossomknits. I'm just starting to get my toes into it and figure my way around the site. Hopefully I can find some time this weekend to add my stash and some pics there also.

In knitting news . . I'm back to work on my Entrelac Shawl that I started months and months ago. I seem to keep picking it up during my lunch hour at work or while watching TV in the evenings. I've been laughing to myself . . . how I thought it was SO hard way back when I started. Not that I'm a pro knitter now or anything, but I'm pretty proud of myself that I feel much more at ease with my knitting and I'm gaining confidence. Of course, my confidence level still isn't that high but I think it's coming around. Sooner or later I'll feel like I can tackle anything. Right now though I'm still coming across patterns and saying, "Oh my gosh, I could never do anything like that!"

I hope everyone's work is going smoothly and there's no dropped stitches out there! Please let me know what you are all working on . . . . I'm interested in hearing what's on everyone's needles.

Hi mamasita! I got your message, but went back to get the number and it was gone- would you be so kind as to call again, or send it to my email address, so I can return your call? :) brooke_stewart@bellsouth.net

big hugs to you!

Yeah! Another knitter falls victim to Ravelry!! -=giggle=-

I can't wait to see what she's made for you! The socks you made are beautiful! PS: Isn't Ravelry awesome?
