I started John's socks [officially] last night, Saturday, and here's the progress so far:
I'm making this post pretty short because . . I impaled myself on my dpn just a few minutes ago. Right underneath my right forearm, in the soft spot in the middle there. I'm in quite a bit of pain right now and it hurts to type and try to make a fist with my right hand. I think I punctured the muscle of my forearm somewhat.
So, please be careful with your dpns. You never know when one will attack!!

You gotta watch out for the stealthy knitting ninjas! They strike with DPNs when you lease except it!
The sock looks amazing - such wonderful bold colors!

I stumbled across your blog and was excited to find out there are other knitters in the Tampa area! Do you know of any knitting groups (formal or informal)that are open to new members?

Kaffe Fasset, ah! Beautiful! I have the same colorway. Those dpns are sharp, even the bamboo, which struck out at me in the Dr's office today.

Ouch indeed! Hope it's feeling better now.
I like that yarn. I'm not generally a fan of self-striping yarn, but I like the randomness of that. What is it?
