isn't she lovely?

This blog post isn't about me. It's not about anything I've knit or about anything going on in my life. Today, this post is about a wonderful woman I've come to know from knitting at my LYS and featuring an amazing work of art she has completed.

Jan is . . how do I describe her? When she walks into a room, everything lights up. She's one of the kindest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting . . yet pulls no punches when it comes to letting you know how things are or how she feels. A class act, for sure. Definitely someone who you can honestly say you are grateful to know.

Two years ago she started knitting with Roz at Fiber Art with absolutely no prior experience . . just the willingness to learn. She and I share that -- the drive and desire and pure love of learning craft. At least this much I can say we have in common. ;)

The following is Jan's first intarsia knit and the specifics follow. Apologies in advance for the picture quality -- I took these with my Treo 755p. I only wish you all could have been there when she put this on and gave us all the chills. If this isn't proof as to how a person can learn to knit and how good of an instructor Roz is, then I don't know what is:

Holy cow! That is definitely inspiring. I was just at Fiber Arts yesterday...quick run in and out. We definitely need a knit night to catch up soon.

I think it's wonderful that you posted about her. She sounds like a wonderful person!
