Sorry I've been away for some time . . . since my previous post (which I have removed from my site), things around the house have been improving . . and I've been feeling a lot better about life in general. Thank you to everyone for contacting me and sending happy thoughts and wishes. Without you, I wouldn't have had anything to smile about. :)
I have a few things to show. My first I'm posting is for my girlfriend Caitlyn over at Knitter in the Kitchen. I made a pineapple upside down cake for the mini-Superbowl party we're having here today. I think it came out picture perfect!!
I've started on a shoulder wrap that doesn't really have a published pattern . . Roze over at Fiber Arts, Inc. designed this one herself. There will be a ruffle that I have to pick up and knit in around the increased side (with the yarn over). I'm using Noro Silk Garden Lite in color #2032 The ruffled edge will be done with Noro Cash Iroha in color #84.
And last but not least, here are two hats I knitted in 4 days for John's ski trip he took with his family between Christmas and New Year's. I didn't have a pattern, I just read up on hat construction and winged it. I think I'm ready to try a hat with some more detail. But for now, here's my first shot at hats:
I have another dropped stitch wrap I'm working on, but I'm waiting for better needles to put it on . . and to knit a few more sections . . before posting any pictures.
Well, sorry to make this so short but - the Superbowl is on and I have to go watch who wins!!! I'll post more pics within the week, I promise. I hope you're all doing well and again . . thanks for all the support and love you guys send to me when I need it most.

I don't even like pineapple upside down cake, but that looks delicious!! And those hats came out great for your first forays into head gear.
Glad things seem to be improving. I was just wondering about you and how you were getting on.

I am so glad things are going better. I've been thinking about you (even if I'm terrible at keeping in touch). The cake looks like something out of a high-end pastry shop - seriously. Loving the hats!

For hats you created off the cuff, those look fantastic! I like that you were brave with stripes and the pom-pom! Nice! And that cake looks simply scrumptious!
